Objective: There is a need to organize various cables that we carry in our bags. One of the most delicate and messy are headphone cables.
Challenges:- Make sure that storing and getting back the cable was very simple and would not require a person to change any natural habits.
- The solution must ensure that the wire in no instance gets bent beyond 90 degrees.
- The solution must also be compact enough so that a person can carry it in bag.
- Headphones these days come with mic. While the audio jack is standard 3.5 mm one, the mic came with different sizes and shapes. To accommodate most of the popular mics in the design was indeed a challenge.
Solution: Used a design where one is a fixed end and another is a rotating end. one end of the wire is to be placed on the rotating end. the rotating end also has a grip to get some part of the wire inside. Once inside, the rotating part can be rotated and the wire gets wounded inside easily. The winder also had a cap which can be then closed to even secure the earpiece.
